A forum for people of faith in and around DeKalb to learn more about how public policy decisions at the state and local levels impact homelessness in Georgia, especially in the areas of tax policy, availability of affordable housing, and health care access. Light refreshments provided.
Hear experts in the field and ask questions during a panel discussion. Speakers include:
• Paul Bolster, former state legislator and affordable housing advocate
• Staff from the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute
• Hear a welcome from The Reverend Julie Pennington-Russell, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Decatur, a theological charge from Dr. James Brewer-Calvert, Senior Pastor of First Christian Church of Decatur, and a story shared by a former DCM client.
