“Hidden in Plain Sight”
Hosted by AFNAP, “Hidden in Plain Sight” is an awareness program designed to educate the commercial property management industry to be “the eyes and ears” in buildings and garages. Together we can help prevent and eliminate this activity.
AFNAP is a statewide campaign to stop the prostitution of young girls in Georgia. The campaign is tirelessly addressing the issue through a four-tiered strategy of research, prevention, intervention and education. AFNAP’s mission is to protect and inspire hope in our girls, the true victims of this illicit practice, as well as to disable the demand and prosecute those who make the prostitution of children a gruesome reality. Almost FOUR HUNDRED YOUNG GIRLS A MONTH are victimized in the Atlanta area alone. A great many of these incidents are happening right in front of us – specifically in large parking garages, decks, hotels and back areas of office complexes. AFNAP has been trying to educate the commercial community on a “one off” basis. By bringing the commercial community (commercial property firms, parking firms, security firms, hotel groups etc.) together at one time and in one place, then we could greatly extend the reach in educating our community and hopefully make a significant impact in the lives of the young girls that are being victimized.
Join AFNAP for an educational campaign on Thursday, September 16, 10am to 12pm at the Georgia Pacific Center Auditorium, 133 Peachtree St, Lobby Level.
