CREW Atlanta: How long have you been at your at current position?
Katie Smith: 2 and ½ months
What made you decide to work in the field you are in?
My number one reason is because I love building relationships; I am such a people person and my current role always involves learning about others.
How do you think your profession may change in the next 10-20 years?
This is a crazy thought but my job might not be in existence due to improved technological processes.
When and how did you join CREW?
I am technically not a member of CREW but am apart of the family and support CREW and its members daily.
Yes! I have an amazing husband Scott. My super daughter, Hade, 2 years old. Two loving parents – John and Kathy, and an awesome brother, J.R.
My dream job would be a personal shopper for others.
Craziest job you ever had?
Hands down…a camp counselor to four-year-olds at the Cloister in Sea Island.
Tell us one thing people might be surprised to know about you.
I am naturally a shy person and one who loves to stay at home. But because of my line of work, I have learned to like my social side!
“Everyday I Grind” – I love this because I try to be the best at every task life brings daily; sometimes I fail but at least I am trying.
If you could only have one book to read the rest of your life, what would it be? Or what is the most influential book you have ever read?
The Glass Castle or the Bible
If you could have a freeway billboard sign with any content you wanted on it, what would it say?
Hobbies/interests? What do you do to relieve stress?
Wine and exercise. Also, as much as I love my daughter and husband I love my “me” time. It could be just five minutes a day.
Other than your career, what other skill would you like to develop most in life?
I would love to water ski!
