ATLANTA BELTLINE, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Fellowships available in five different fields; Application Deadline April 1, 2010
Atlanta, GA- Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) has launched a new fellowship program to increase the capacity of its staff and provide to invaluable work experience for fellows. The Atlanta BeltLine Fellowship represents a tremendous opportunity to positively impact the way Atlanta will mature as a great city.
The Atlanta BeltLine is the most comprehensive urban redevelopment initiative currently underway in the United States. It will enrich Atlanta’s quality of life with parks, trails, transit, economic development, affordable housing and public art, and set a national standard for transformative investment, sustainable growth, and equitable development.
ABI is seeking qualified applicants in the fields of Arts; Community Engagement; Construction Management; Communications; and Global Information Systems (GIS). There is one Fellowship available in each field. Additional information regarding job responsibilities and qualifications is available online at www.beltline.org.
Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter indicating which Fellowship they are interested in to jobs@beltline.org. Deadline for submitting applications is 5pm on Thursday, April 1, 2010.
About the BeltLine:
The Atlanta BeltLine is a $2.8 billion redevelopment project that will provide a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting many neighborhoods directly to each other. The BeltLine is the most comprehensive economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment projects currently underway in the United States. Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI), formed by the Atlanta Development Authority, is the entity tasked with planning and executing the implementation of the BeltLine in partnership with other public and private organizations, including City of Atlanta departments.
