A Future, Not A Past – Women’s Funding Network
Faye Craven of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation, a group that has been supported by CREW, has recently notified Susana Chavez, who serves as a CREW Board Member, of a new grant project for Pepsi called the Pepsi Refresh SXSW Challenge. According to Faye, at this year’s Austin City Limits event, participating bands are choosing Causes that can benefit from a fundraising challenge. The band Metric has chosen to support the Women’s Funding Network. If Metric wins the Pepsi Challenge then the Women’s Funding Network will receive $100,000.
A Future. Not A Past, which is a campaign to stop the prostitution of children, and the Women’s Funding Network have partnered to replicate the successful fight in Georgia against child prostitution across the country. Should Metric win the challenge and receive the award, the Women’s Funding Network will support the launch of the national expansion of A Future, Not A Past across the U.S.

Thank you to the members of CREW for your continuing support of The Atlanta Women’s Foundation and all that is important for women and girls. CREW has been on the forefront of standing shoulder to shoulder with those who are not empowered to stand for themselves.
Ending the sexual exploitation of girls is something that, as women, we can all find common ground.
Thank you for supporting the Pepsi challenge (which I know is difficult to do in Atlanta, hometown of our favorite soft drink). But at the end of the day, we stand together to issue that girls have the opportunity to live lives of hope and fulfillment.
Thank you for every click, that is a vote for this common vision!
All the the best,
Deborah Richardson
